Ingredients

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven:
    Set to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars:
    In a large bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla:
    Mix in the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Combine dry ingredients:
    In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Add chocolate chips:
    Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.

    Let cookies cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
